Merry Christmas from the Seattle Dents (Nat, G and Kendall)! Snow fell again this morning but didn't accumulate much. We still have about 6 inches left on the ground from the last storm. The Tanners (Craig and Jollyne) were here for Christmas Eve dinner and again for breakfast and presents on Christmas Day. Jollyne once again outdid herself on all the food and wine! Kendall seems to like Christmas so far because it has provided her with twice as many things to put into her mouth. She loved her new cozy fleece snow suit. Do they make those for adults?
Had to share a couple recent pics of Kendall. She is very serious when it comes to her food. We tried our first Rice Cereal experiment last night and paid dearly for it - she seemed to have a tummy ache most of the night. We may stick to milk a little while longer!
We had Craig, Jollyne and Nala over for dinner and couldn't resist this photo opp! Kendall took Dad to the Mariner's game to celebrate his first Father's Day. Thanks Kendall! Unfortunately and not surprisingly, the lowly M's lost...
Well, it was a bit different this year with a newborn but we managed to complete the 4 mile family walk without incident. Usually we make the 5 mile run but because they don't allow strollers with the runners we had to join all the other new parents for the walk. We didn't want to interupt our streak of 7 years of participation so we made this small concession. Weather was perfect for the first time since our first year. Kendall mentioned to us after the walk that she planned to do the run next year. She should probably get training soon...
We finally got some sun in Seattle, just in time for the weekend. Fired up the old BBQ on Friday night and tried to get a few family pics. Unfortunatley, I don't have any photography skills so this is as good as it gets.
Some fun photos of all the babies in my PEPS (new moms) group. Kendall is in the bottom right corner in the circle of babies photo and third from the right in the two couch photos. All the babies are so cute and I have really enjoyed getting to know all the moms as well!
We took our first road trip with Kendall for Mother's Day weekend in Portland. We were pleasantly surprised with how well she did, especially during the long car rides.
Yes, more photos of the child. We can't help ourselves. Kendall definately enjoyed her first Easter, she even posed like a little bunny for the photos. I hope the toxic smelling, plastic Easter grass doesn't have any long term effect...Mom and Dad have totally lost it.
Uncle Ben stopped by on St. Patty's Day to hang with Kendall. Times have officially changed! If Kendall is really lucky, someday she'll get the nod to visit Uncle Benny at Balara Manor in the Bahamas? Nat and I would have to go along...for supervsion, of course.
The kid was a little stinky tonight so we broke out the mini tub for a first 'real' bath. To our amazement, she loved it! We're thinking of bathing her 3 times a day now.
